The highly anticipated 2024 remake of “Chinese Paladin” (XianJian QiXia Zhuan) has finally arrived! Titled 又见逍遥 (You Jian Xiaoyao), which translates to “Seeing Xiaoyao Again,” this new adaptation brings fresh energy to the beloved story. The official English title is “Sword and Fairy 1,” although it was initially planned to be called “Paladin Legend.” This remake promises to capture the essence of the original while offering new twists for both longtime fans and newcomers alike.

How exciting is this?! I’m personally thrilled to see another adaptation of this beloved story! So far, the visuals, costumes, and plot feel more faithful to the game than the first drama (I’ve only watched two episodes as of writing this), and I’m eager to discover what other changes await! Fans of the game will recognize several original soundtracks woven into the drama, while those who enjoyed the first TV series will be delighted to hear the nostalgic ending theme songs! ;)
