Who sacrificed more?

Ling Er and Yue Ru's undying love for Xiao Yao is evident, and both have made many sacrifices for Xiao Yao's happiness~ who do you think sacrificed more, and is this the same for both the game and series?

I'll start off.
I think that in the series, Yue Ru slightly sacrificed more for Xiao Yao since she gave up her life in order for Xiao Yao and Ling Er to be together. She knew that they were truly the ones in love, and she'd rather give up her life for Xiao Yao's happiness. Ling Er did a lot for Xiao Yao as well, but I guess Yue Ru's death was more direct in the sense that she knew what she was doing, and made up her mind to do so (it wasn't an accidental death like in the game)

With that being said, I believe Ling Er sacrificed a lot more in the Game.

well ling'er died for her country. She was sacrificing herself for many people while yue ru just did it for xiao yao, wanting him to be happy.Ling'er was also willing to leave xiao yao becuase she knew he would be in danger if he went with her.

With that being said, I believe Ling Er sacrificed a lot more in the Game.

I don't really remember the game that much, but I think there wasn't really a love triangle between the three like the series, since they seemed to get along very well together and the 3 were planning to stay together forever. . .so, I don't really see how the girls were sacrificing for XiaoYao?


Also, in the game(correct me if I'm wrong) , I don't think that LingEr had people constantly tell her to leave Xiao Yao for the sake of her country~

Definitely Yue Ru.

For the country, those Nan Zhao Guo people like Sheng gu, Sword Saint who die to help the country.

Xiao Yao who feel the pain in the end.

In general, it would be Ling Er..the difference is that Yue Ru only had Xiao Yao to think about..she didnt have any other purpose in life, it seemed like it was all about him and his happiness..

Ling Er on the other hand has to constantly keep in mind her responsibility as a Nu Wa dsecendant, her role as the princess of Nan Zhao Guo, to ensure happiness of her people.. and at the same time wish to be with her loved one~ which is difficult to balance. Her way of showing her affection to Xiao Yao is for him to be happy~ she thought that if he stayed with her, she would only be a burden to him, so she tried to push him away~ at the cost of her happiness... Though Jin Yuan said that rather than to love, why not understand.. She wanted the best for him, and although that's not what Xiao Yao wanted, from her judgement she thought what she did was right.

We never really got to see her experience, or how she was feeling during the times she went missing... except we assume she was terrified realising she's a snake demon, and ran away hiding so her Xiao Yao ge ge wouldn't see her form.

in general, it'd be 02. For XY, it's definitely yueru...

I think Ling er definitely sacrifice much more.... for her country and for the one she love which is hu ge....

I think Ling'er sacrificed more.
Yue Ru did sacrifice her life for Xiao Yao, but it was willingly, she died in peace, knowing she saved someone she loved.
Ling'er never wanted to die, for her country, for Xiao Yao. In the end, she was in great pain, but she held on for him. The ultimate sacrifice for both of them was to let go.

i think yue ru sacrificed more in the game bec. like she said as long as xiao yao is happy, she is also happy even though the happiness of xiao yao is not bec. of her... i know that ling er sacrificed too but i just think that yue ru sacrificed more than ling er....

From the game's point of view:
Yueru's sacrifice is on an entirely personal basis--she chose to sacrifice her chance at finding one whom she loves and who reciprocates her love by staying with Xiaoyao. By doing this, she gains the right to be next to the one whom she loves. Although she sacrificed possible opportunities and a comfortable life, she did earn the right to be near him, a benefit that may have outweighed the drawbacks in her opinion. The end result was her death--or undeath, after the poisoner has finished with her--, though that consequence was purely accidental. Linger's sacrifice is what is generally considered martyrdom. She gave up her personal life in order to assume the role of the priestess of Nu Wa and to fulfill her mother's last wish that she makes peace between the two Miao tribes. The end result was also her death, but this was a conscious choice on her part to give up her life in exchange for saving the world--or at least the Miao periphery. I would have to say that Linger sacrificed much more.

Linger was quite aware of her being a half snake. On the night of the end of the martial contest, at the Lin mansion, she asked whether Xiaoyao would stay with her. His answer was, of course, in the affirmative, upon which she asked, "但是，如果我是。。。" which translates to "But, what if I am..." The sentence could end in one of two ways, "。。。怀着你的孩子呢?“ ("...pregnant with your child?") or "...蛇精呢?"（"...a snake demon?") The latter is the more likely choice, since the former is a very stilted way of saying "I'm pregnant with your child" in Chinese (usually it's said without the 是).

I think that is quite obvious... Ling'er... Because Ling'er sacrifise not only for Xiao Yao but everyone in the NanZhao... Which is more than hundred thousand... I think ... But Yue Ru only sacrifise for 3 ppl... Ling'er, Xiao Yao and Yi Ru...

Yue Ru didn't chose to give up her life, she just died.

Since she is a human, she has done all she could, yet she ended with nothing. whereas linger, she died with great honor - she saved the country; she has done what she was responsible as a nv wa decendant; she married her loved, xiaoyao and had a baby. In the Chinese culture, Linger's life ended perfectly since she earned everything a woman were after. Look back to yueru, maybe all she earned is just the time staying with xiaoyao and a never realizable promise by xiaoyao.
