fairysword.dearchibi.com our new home

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all doing well :)

After 14 years being hosted under windy-goddess.net (and 6 years with chinesepaladin.org) we have now moved to hopefully our final home: fairysword.dearchibi.com

There were many times when I considered taking this site down permanently since it hasn’t been updated in quite a number of years and we don’t get a lot of traffic either (the show is old, and it’s mostly for a niche English audience), but I always think back to all the hours and labour of love poured into creating this site, and for that alone I want it keep it up and running for as long as I could.

So what does this mean for you? We aren’t going anywhere..! Along with our sister site Undying Love, we will occupy this little space on the internet to reflect and look back on for years to come.

Hi, I just wanted to say thank you for this site.

I originally “played” a copy of PAL1 98 during a visit to friend of my parents in China around the 2000s. I didn’t know Chinese so I didn’t get far during my short visit but I did watch the video files and I could feel the poignancy of the ending despite not speaking a word of Chinese or knowing any of the characters.

I had been looking for this game ever since but I didn’t know its name and it’s only when the 98 version appeared on Steam last week as “Sword and Fairy” that I recognised it and discovered the rest of the series.

I bought them I’m now playing through PAL1 95/98 thanks to the English patch. Thanks for the resources you provided on this site and for the Translation project for the XP remake.

I can only hope there’s an official English release for the rest of the series one day. Thanks.
