YesAsia Editorial Description

Adapted from a popular game, hit period drama Chinese Paladin (a.k.a The Magic Sword & The Chivalrous Youngsters) is a crowd-pleasing fusion of fantasy, action, adventure, and romance. Mainland stars Crystal Liu Yifei (Return of the Condor Heroes) and Hu Ge, who vaulted to fame with this drama, lead an all-star cast of young idols and established actors from China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Taiwan idol drama regulars Eddie Peng (Honey & Clover), Ady An (The Outsiders), and Esther Liu of Sweety (Westside Story) give memorable supporting performances, along with an amazing extended cast that includes Cheng Pei Pei, Patrick Tam, Tse Kwan Ho, Rachel Lee, Ben Wong, Cheung Sai, Joanne Zeng of Sweety, Achel Chang, and Elvis Tsui as the deliciously evil villain. The drama is produced by Lee Kwok Lap, the man behind trendy period series like The Legendary Siblings, Lotus Lantern, and Hu Ge’s subsequent hits The Little Fairy, The Young Warriors, and The Eagle Shooting Heroes. Complementing the special effects spectacle and wirework action with an engaging story of rollicking adventure and heartwrenching romance, Chinese Paladin is one of the best Chinese fusion period dramas the genre has to offer.Determined to save his ill aunt, carefree youth Li Xiao Yao (Hu Ge) sets sail to the mysterious Dream Island where he is told a cure can supposedly be found. There he meets and falls in love with the beautiful Ling’er (Crystal Liu), and they seal their love in marriage. What Xiao Yao doesn’t know is that his trip to Dream Island was actually set up by the evil Lunar Sect Cult as part of their plan to capture Ling’er. He heads home with his aunt’s cure in hand and his promises to Ling’er in heart, but when he wakes up, all his memories of Dream Island have disappeared…

Unfortunately it’s still out of print even on Yes Asia unfortunately and even worse I misplaced my DVD set while moving recently and can’t find a replacement anywhere and as this is one of my favorite series it’s extremely devastating and idk if I’ll ever be able to watch it again. Would greatly appreciate help finding a replacement even if I have to pay twice as much for it. It’s that good of a show
